Jacques Henri Latigue

When I was in Portland back in July, Chaz and I went to Powell's Books. We spent most of the day browsing our favorite subjects. I got caught up in the photography section, flipping through book after book. I came across a rather large book of photographs by Jacques Henri Lartigue, one of my favorite photographers. It was beautiful but ultimately a little pricey for me. But now I wish I had gotten it or at least written down its name. I can't stop thinking about it.

Cloudy Day

Right now I'm listening to the
Lost in Translation soundtrack which is perfect for this dark cloudy day which will very soon turn into a dark rainy evening. I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner. I'm thinking risotto. Yum.

Silhouettes

These days I find myself being drawn more and more to silhouettes. I love the simplistic nature a silhouette can possess and its ability to reveal so much about a person through so little. Here are some miniature silhouettes I did of Chaz and I awhile back.

I really enjoy these silhouettes that include detailing of the subjects clothing and also vintage silhouettes like this that go into more detail of the subjects surroundings. So stunning.

Etsy

I'm really loving Joanna Rutter's handcrafted jewelry on Etsy. Everything is simple yet extremely adorable. Here are a couple of images from her Etsy shop.

Beard Attack #1

One of my favorite bearded men is my dad. He can grow a beard like none other.

Look at that thing!

Also, here's a funny website all about beards.

Short Films

I'm in the process of putting a short silent film I made with some friends together and on the web. Hopefully I can post it on here soon.

Here are some films I've been enjoying lately:

Notte Sento - Urban Team

Majorettes - The Neistat Brothers

New Blog...

Today I am starting a new blog. This blog will help me document my work as well as share anything I find inspirational on the web. If you read this, I hope you enjoy.
